My story

Why I chose the HPZ Marketing name

The HPZ marketing name has a deep personal meaning for me.

I named my company after my beloved grandfather, Horace Paige Ziegler. HPZ are his initials.

Grandpa HPZ had a curious mind. He tinkered, taught himself to code long before it was a real career, and served in choirs for 75 years, including opera productions. (I even joined him in a couple of operas as a kid!) He followed his passions for a lifetime and poured those many talents back into his community.

Grandpa HPZ cheered me on at every turn. He would be tickled pink that I built a fractional CMO company of my own, to put those values to work.

Eight years ago, I left Corporate America to put my skills and energy where they make a difference for small businesses. I care deeply about marketing that works. Running my own company lets me help many small businesses build effective marketing.

That is what Grandpa HPZ reminds me to do every day. Be clear. Be kind. Do the work. Help small businesses grow with steady, practical marketing leadership.

I love what I do. Helping small businesses, every day.

Every time a client hits a goal or a team gets unstuck, I think of him and smile.
